María's Testimonial: A Pediatrician After the Intensive Course

Every session of the Intensive Acupuncture Course leaves more than learned technique behind. Sometimes it leaves a changed way of seeing. That's what María, a pediatrician, told us at the end of the August edition in Madrid, held from August 3rd to 30th at our Calle Luis Piernas location.

She wrote this to us on the last day:

What's behind these words

María arrived already a doctor, with years of clinical pediatric practice behind her. And yet what stands out in her message isn't a specific technique — it's something harder to teach: learning to look at yourself, to observe, to pause. To listen to others and value their intention.

That's no coincidence. The course doesn't just teach pulse reading or needle placement; it teaches a way of standing in front of the patient. The pauses in speech, the deep, whole way of looking that María mentions, aren't explained in a slide — they're passed on by living a full month of training up close, treating real patients from day one.

And perhaps that's why, in the end, what people are most grateful for isn't always the technique itself, but the values underneath it: family, respect, closeness. That's what we try to pass on in every session, beyond the official syllabus.
