Intensive Course Content
4 weeks, Monday to Sunday. Each teaching day includes 4 hours of theoretical and practical classes (16:00–20:00, with a 15-minute break), and each weekend students treat real patients under the constant supervision of the teaching staff.
Week 1 — Myofascial System
Day 1Myofascial Treatment — structure of the fascia
We briefly go over the 5 treatment lines or protocols: Symptomatic Tr., Origin Tr., Pericardium Tr., Extraordinary Meridians Tr. and Trauma Release Tr. Given the need to treat patients the following weekend, we begin with the Symptomatic Tr.: working with the fascia is the most effective approach. Its structure, behavior and external synchrony are explained, along with needling techniques that trigger a compensatory reaction (anatomical reference points). We start with the muscle groups of the upper body (neck and shoulders).
Day 2Myofascial — upper body → lower back
We continue in depth with the muscle groups of the upper body (neck and shoulders) and move on to the lower back (lumbar area). Students practice on each other to learn how to diagnose and treat each muscle group.
Day 3Myofascial — back → legs
We continue with the muscle groups of the back and move on to the legs. Students practice on each other to learn how to diagnose and treat each muscle group.
Day 4Myofascial — legs → arms
We continue with the muscle groups of the legs and move on to the arms, completing the whole body. Students practice on each other to learn how to diagnose and treat each muscle group.
Day 5A. Jayasuriya's Symptomatic Tr.
For issues not directly related to the muscle groups, we look in depth at A. Jayasuriya's approach, centered on TCM, along with some of Dr. Tung's points that are useful for certain conditions. We define the concepts of Dragon vs. Phoenix: the therapist's attitude toward patients and conditions.
First weekend
Saturday 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00 · Sunday 10:00–14:00
Real patients are treated, brought in by the students themselves or by the organization. It is the students who carry out the treatments, insert the needles and learn to interact with patients, always under the constant supervision of the teachers.
Week 2 — Origin Treatment and Extraordinary Meridians
Day 8Origin Tr. — angle theory and positioning theory
Sometimes it is the body itself that creates or sustains a condition. We study the causes of pathogenic relationships between organs: the Angle Theory (illness as a warning sign of destiny) and the Positioning Theory (illness as a fight for social position within the group). We take a deeper look at Sadistic organs (low, hidden pulse), Masochistic organs (high pulse) and Absent organs (low, stable pulse).
Day 9Origin Tr. — taking the pulse
We continue with the Origin Tr., adding pulse-taking: common mistakes and tips for improving your reading. The only way to master it is to know each internal organ perfectly, so we dedicate a full day to each one. Students practice reading each other's pulses.
Day 10Origin Tr. — points, tonification and sedation
Selection and location of the acupuncture points for the Origin Tr. The concepts of tonification and sedation, meridian flow, direction and movement, speculative energy versus real energy, and how to perceive them in the pulse. Students receive the General Tonification Treatment, with point location and moxibustion practice.
Day 11Pulse coherence
The laws of movement of the producer organs and sky organs. A method for locating sadistic and masochistic organs through natural coherence. Treatments for the Mental Axis, Consumption Axis and Spiritual Axis. Problems with bones, muscles and depression.
Day 12Extraordinary Meridians Tr. (Dai Mai)
We explain how the extraordinary meridians work, when to use them and what conditions they can treat. Treatment of the Mental Axis (1, 2 and 3), the theory of how the mind works, and hands-on practice between students.
