Prof. David Luján

David Luján holds a degree in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1998). He also completed several master's degrees in Psychology at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands, 1997), Griffith University (Australia, 1999) and the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (Ireland, 2000).

In 2002 he moved to Sri Lanka to train as an acupuncturist under Prof. Sri Anton Jayasuriya, where close to 100 patients were treated free of charge every day. He graduated with a Merit for Excellence.

On returning to Spain and beginning to work with Western patients, he found he had to develop different methods: modern society shows different ways of falling ill and recovering. This is how his own method was born, set out in the book Manual de Acupuntura Natural (Editorial Grupo Almuzara, 2012), since then one of the best-selling acupuncture books in Spain and Latin America.

Founder of Natural Acupuncture and current president of ECAN Internacional (Registration No. 595281 in the European Economic Community, The Hague, Netherlands). Since then he has taught Intensive Courses in Chile, Spain, India, Nepal, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

In 2009 he was honored at the 47th World Congress of Complementary Medicine with the Merit for Excellence award, for his career in teaching and his profound contributions to traditional Chinese medicine.

He is currently the director and owner of 2 schools in Madrid, as well as another school in India that he has run personally since 2010. Hundreds of students from more than 35 different nationalities have taken his courses, where between 30 and 50 patients are treated free of charge every day.

We work with 14 subconscious minds that, according to Chinese tradition, reside in the internal organs and drive nearly 90% of our decisions.

  • We don't treat an organ in isolation, but its relationship with the rest
  • Each patient receives the protocol that fits them best, not a standard one
  • Training designed to turn you into a therapist, not a technician

Five treatment protocols

For each patient we choose the most suitable one, and they can be combined within a single session.

Protocol 1

Symptomatic treatment

  • At least 6 types of treatment aimed solely at the symptom.
  • If the pulses are regulated, only the musculoskeletal system is treated.
Protocol 2

Origin treatment

  • If the pulses reveal a pathogenic relationship between organs.
  • By changing the internal relationship, we open up an angle of vital change for the patient.
Protocol 3

Pericardium treatment

  • When physical and personality symptoms indicate failures in the Gathering Qi.
Protocol 4

Extraordinary meridians

  • There are 8 extraordinary meridians; after years of practice, we focus on 2 of them.
  • For cleansing the liver and symmetrically stretching the abdominal fascia.
Protocol 5

Trauma release

  • Many symptoms are sustained by a deep trauma from years ago.
  • A trauma is never eliminated: it is integrated, so that everyone can learn from it.

Much of the course focuses on training the therapist as a medical practitioner: pulses, coherence of relationships, and guided interviews.

Know Your Breathing

An accurate diagnosis is the most complex part of any medical discipline. Breathing is the first pulse we read in every patient: it gives us the rhythm before any intervention.

14 subconscious minds

99% of our reactions are subconscious. In every pulse we read 14 of them, one per organ — our health depends on how well they communicate.
